Explore D&D&History: Manhattan's Midnight Moon (July)

$90.00

Embark on an epic journey with this campaign, which weaves together history and adventure.

Welcome to the smog-choked, lantern-lit streets of 1835 New York, friends! I am so excited to invite you to our upcoming adventure, Manhattan’s Midnight Moon. We’ll be stepping into the boots of clever investigators and street-smart adventurers navigating the bustling docks and cobblestone alleys of Old Gotham. There’s a marvelous electricity in the air as the city gathers around every street corner, clutching the latest edition of The New York Sun. The stories they’re telling are nothing short of miraculous - bat-winged people, sapphire temples, and bipedal beavers living on the lunar surface! It’s a time of wonder and wild imagination, and I can’t wait to see how your characters fit into this vibrant, growing metropolis.

But as the moon hangs a little lower and glows a little bluer each night, we’ll need your sharp wits to separate fact from fantastic fiction. Is this simply the greatest tall tale in history, or is there something truly celestial stirring beneath the city’s surface? Whether you’re a scrappy newsie with an ear for gossip or a refined scholar with a telescope of your own, your unique talents are exactly what’s needed to uncover the truth behind the headlines. Grab your top hats and check your coin purses; we’re about to embark on a journey where the "impossible" is just the front-page news. I’ll see you soon for a campaign of mystery, magic, and moonlight!

Dates and Location

Please select your preferred date and time in the drop-down box. Classes will run from the week of July 6 (or July 8 for Wednesday classes) through the week of July 20 (July 22 for Wednesday classes.) All 3 classes will be held over Zoom.

PLEASE NOTE:

Section F (Tuesdays from 3-5pm, ages 7-11) is a zero-combat campaign. This is a gentler intro to RPG, great for younger kids!

Section G (Tuesday 12-2pm, ages 7-11) is a low-combat campaign. This is still very gentle, but a step closer to standard RPGs.

Requirements: Age 8+, or at the instructor's discretion. No prior knowledge or experience of Dungeons and Dragons is required, as instructions for creating a character will be sent ahead of time. Students will be given access to an online dice roller, so physical dice are not required.

Class Etiquette: I expect and require gentle, respectful language in my classes, and ask that all students come to class prepared to treat each other with kindness. These classes are a great opportunity for your kiddos to practice social/soft skills, with the underlying perspective that we’re all in this together.
